We’ve all heard of road rage. Well how about parking rage? I don’t know if the phrase has a definition yet, but allow me.
Parking Rage: When someone parks in such a way that it blocks/impedes your exit from a car park or street side, causing a sudden outburst of frustrated emotion, that can last as long as five minutes. This image is an example of something that could cause parking rage.
Have you ever been in a situation that starts off a calm discussion, and before you know it, escalates into a full blown riot? I’m sure you have and it’s often over something extremely trivial, at least to begin with.
This video is a prime example of both parking rage and things getting out of hand seemingly out of nowhere.
Move on to page two to see the action unfold. Road rage is common. Parking rage? Maybe not so common.
There may not be many morals to this story, other than that parking, like so many other innocuous everyday activities, can cause a ruckus in a heartbeat.
It’s probably worth mentioning that I don’t know what happened before or after the video was recorded, but one thing I do know is that there must have been an easier way to resolve the confrontation. Reversing painstakingly carefully, perhaps? Practising bay parking? Just some ideas.
