There are two types of people in this world: those who will willingly believe in anything (and I mean anything, despite how unlikely it may be), and then there are the more logical people among us.
However, you’d think even those who lean toward superstition would have a lot more self-respect than to believe a guy claiming to be a time traveler to the future. A “time traveler” who has nothing more than a blurred photo as evidence.
Yep, this anonymous man is claiming that he traveled to the year 6,000 and that he knows what the future has in store for us.
Apparently, people of the distant future live in a “Utopia” which has finally managed to invent time travel. An invention which was brought about by a series of experiments conducted on humans…
The man chose to reveal this “top-secret” information in a YouTube video that was posted by ApexTV. ApexTV is a channel known for posting “mysterious” videos which supposedly feature paranormal activity.
With over 300,000 subscribers, the interview they conducted with the man in an “undisclosed location” soon became viral.
Take a look at the bizarre video for yourself, and try not to laugh:
The video begins with the anonymous man acknowledging that the message he has chosen to put out there is “extremely hard to believe”:
“Hello to everybody out there who’s watching this video right now. I know a lot of you are going to find my story extremely hard to believe and I don’t blame you. If I was watching somebody claim these same things, I myself would most likely not believe them.
However, I can assure you that what I am saying is true. It’s not my intention to deceive anybody. I simply want to spread a message about the future of humanity and where the world is heading.”
The details in the story become increasingly elaborate as the man maintains that he was part of a “top-secret program” whose mission it is to send people to the future:
“You may be asking what do I know about the future well I am a time traveler. I was part of a top-secret program to send people forward in time. Now, this was in the 1990s, I was selected to be one of the tests members of the program a urges secret time travel technology that is being hidden from you at this very moment.”
So what does the future have in store for us? Well, if you’re worried that world will be destroyed in a nuclear war, well, fear not. Instead, us humans will eventually be ruled by an overbearing force in the form of artificial intelligence who are referred to as “they”. Yay!
Now “They” don’t want this anonymous “time traveler” to expose their secret “Utopia”, unless of course, he wants to fall victim to their wrath. The man’s face is blurred and his voice is distorted so that if the video gets into the wrong hands, no one will know he was the one who spilled the beans. He’s basically a martyr, risking his own life for the common people.
Bit like a Terminator movie.
Anyway, here’s some actual good news: in the year 3,000 we will have found the cure for cancer. Well, I mean, it’s good news if you actually believe anything he says.
But if you are skeptical, don’t worry he’s got it covered. He knows that people will find it difficult to believe the message, and so has taken photographic evidence:
“They don’t want me telling you this. They’re especially not going to like what I’m about to show you. When I was in the year 6,000, I managed to take a photograph of a major city. Now I cannot say which city, because it would lead to too much influential change on the future, but I can show you the photograph.”
The so-called time traveler then reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a deliberately blurred photo, a photo that he allegedly took of the year 6,000. Despite the lack of clarity in the photo, you can probably tell that it looks like nothing more than an ordinary city from the 21st century.
“This is a photograph from the year 6,000. You may notice that the picture is distorted, that’s due to the time-travel process. Some people actually have parts of their bodies distorted because of the process.”
Then quite unexpectedly, the man begins to get emotional as he reveals that he was not sent into the future alone. Tragically, he went with a friend who didn’t make it back.
So, are you a believer?
While the whole story sounds pretty batsh*t crazy, we have to applaud the man for his conviction. Few people would have the time or energy to concoct a story like that. Still though, another 900+ years until we find a cure for cancer? The future doesn’t sound too great.
