The fashion industry is always looking for the latest trend and it is all about standing out from the crowd. One lady who is following in their footsteps is Melanie Gaydos, a 27-year-old model, who is taking the design world by storm. Melanie is not the stereotypical face you see gracing the catwalks or on the covers of magazines, but the high-end fashion industry has a desire for difference and she definitely fits the bill.
Melanie was born with a rare genetic disorder called ectodermal dysplasia, which affects her skin, teeth and hair. The condition, which has left her legally blind, meant she was a little different from her peers when she was growing up and was targeted by bullies. Despite suffering from depression and suicidal thoughts this inspirational young woman overcame the negativity thrown upon her both personally and online and rose above it.
