Rapper Tyrese Gibson Posts Video Of The Rock Savagely Roasting Him And His Music

While Johnson hasn't directly responded to him, he did have this to say about the spinoff and potential criticism that it might spark on his own Instagram page:

Thank you UNIVERSAL STUDIOS for being tremendous partners who see the big picture and for coming to us years ago with this spinoff idea... I want to use my spinoff platform to create new characters that fans will ultimately love to have fun with in multiple chapters and platforms. Film, TV, Digital, Virtual Reality etc... the more opportunities we can create the better for the fans. Smart business. Let’s have some FUN and to quote, Hobbs the boss, if you don’t like it, we’re happy to beat that a** like a Cherokee drum.

While Johnson hasn't yet beat Gibson's "a** like a Cherokee drum" for, it turns out that he'd already roasted the 38-year-old rapper all the way back in 2015. And guess what - it was Gibson who posted evidence of it on Instagram.

Gibson captioned the Instagram video, "Haters come in many forms...... In my Kanye voice #BlackRose is one of the greatest R&B Soul Albums of all time."

So, what did Johnson to hate on Gibson? Well, the ten-time world champion had the nerve to criticize Gibson for his 2015 Black Rose album by referring to it as a "big piece of black dog sh*t."

In the video, The Rock sparks hostility between himself and Gibson by saying this about the album:

"Every one is like big piece of dog sh*t. It shouldn't be called 'Black Rose.' It should be called 'Big Piece of Black Dog Shit.' That's what it should be called. Not even the hard dried up dog sh*t for seven days. It's the soft dog sh*t. It's like baby sh*t. I'm never going to f*cking forgive him for wasting my time. That is time I will never get back. It's like dog sh*t is in my ear, motherfucker."

While most people revel in the kind of gossip that a rivalry in the public eye creates, let's hope Johnson will remain the same, reasonable and kind-hearted gent we all know to him be. Of course that doesn't mean he shouldn't let rip on his relentless critic, so long as it's in moderation!
