A man has been arrested after allegedly pushing a woman into the path of an oncoming bus in London.
The incident, which took place on Putney Bridge in south west London, went viral at the beginning of this week, as the police and the internet searched for the man dubbed the "Putney Bridge Pusher".
Scotland Yard have said that a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following a police operation at an address in Chelsea on the morning of Thursday 10 August. The man has been taken to a south London police station where he will remain in custody.
It was reported across a variety of new sources that the police were closing in on the Putney Bridge Pusher, who had been elusive since the incident, which happened on Friday 4 August. The pair had collided on the bridge at 07:40am on Friday morning and the footage was captured by another bus which was travelling ahead of them at the time.
