I don’t know about you, but the more and more I learn about Kylie Jenner, the harder I find it to believe she actually exists. I mean, how many 20-year-olds do you know who can claim to have $50 million in the bank, 104 million followers on Instagram and a business worth $420 million – oh, and a newborn baby?
Kylie’s life was never destined to be ordinary. Born in 1997, Kylie became Kris Jenner’s sixth and final child, following Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Rob and Kendall. Whilst the first 10 years of her life were lived away from the public eye, Kylie’s life was far from conventional.
With an Olympic gold-medal winning athlete for a father, a fame-hungry mother and an elder sister in the form of Kim Kardashian, things in the family’s California mansion were not what most children are familiar with.
By the time she was 10-years-old, Kim had made the family famous via her ‘leaked’ sex tape with RayJ. From that point on, camera crews became a regular feature in her daily life as E! captured footage for Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
With that in mind, it’s hardly surprising that Kylie has amassed a small fortune and a colossal following of loyal fans. So loyal, in fact, that when the makeup mogul disappeared without an explanation last year, they continued to support her. But as the months dragged on and Kylie continued to keep uncharacteristically quiet, the support began to dwindle as fans became restless.
Aware that her legion of loyal fans was drifting away, Kylie dropped the biggest news of her career: she’d given birth to a baby girl.
On Super Bowl Sunday, the young reality star announced she’d become a mom via Instagram in a heartfelt message in which she apologized for keeping everyone “in the dark” before gushing how her secret pregnancy had been a “beautiful, empowering and life-changing experience.”
Despite the tension on the Super Bowl field, the world couldn’t help but become enthralled with Jenner’s long-awaited news. Shortly after the announcement, the California-born star revealed that her daughter was called Stormi Webster – taking the surname of her father, rapper Travis Scott, whose real name is Jacques Webster.
Naturally, Kylie’s prolonged period away from the public eye meant that when she returned to regular life the paparazzi were in hot pursuit.
But in typical Kar/Jenner style, Kylie cut out the middleman by returning to social media with several selfies. Posing in the driver’s seat of her Bentley, whilst wearing a red Adidas tracksuit, Jenner looked sensational despite having given birth only two weeks prior.
Sadly the sultry snaps attracted the attention of trolls who couldn’t resist leaving cruel comments for the 20-year-old new mom.
“I’ve taken Taco Bell sh*ts with more fire than this picture,” wrote one user, while another harshly typed: “Too bad she didn’t crash.”
“She can get her face pumped up again. Plastic cretin,” wrote another.
“Already know I’m gonna get some sh*t for this but, you look good girl, however… looking a little constipated in the second pic… just saying,” another casually typed.
Yes, these people actually think it’s okay to type this sort of thing to a 21-year-old new mother. What a world we live in, right?
Jenner hasn’t responded to the hate-filled messages she’s received, possibly became they’re peppered in among a sea of support.
It was never going to be easy for the reality star to return to social media after such a long break, but she is handling it like the professional that she is!
