IKEA is the place where furniture dreams come true.
The Swedish homeware store is a cult favorite with all homeowners across the globe, so much so that you’d be hard pushed to find a house that doesn’t even feature one piece of their iconic furniture. In fact, even some of the homes you see in your favorite television shows are essentially IKEA show homes.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, it does, with the introduction of a pet furniture collection. Yes, that’s right, special furniture for your furry friend is now available at the Scandinavian store.
“Have you ever felt like your cat or dog wasn’t just a pet, but a member of the family?” IKEA asks as they launch the range, which is guaranteed to be extremely popular with interior conscious pet lovers.
The Lurvig range, which means “hairy” in Swedish, has so far only launched in five countries for a pilot test. Japan, France, Canada, America and Portugal are all blessed with the opportunity to purchase the carefully crafted pet furniture. If successful, which it undoubtably will be, then the range will be pushed further around the globe in March 2018.
Explaining their adorable new collection, IKEA writes on their website:
“Created by pet loving designers with support from trained veterinarians, the range covers all the bases of our shared life with pets indoors and out, so you and your pet can enjoy your home together.”
Despite the careful attention that has been paid to the design of each item, they are incredibly affordable. The most expensive item in the collection is a padded cat house which retails at $54. Regardless, ensuring your pet is comfortable is priceless.
