Hairdresser Freaks Out After Finding Masses Of “Super Lice” In Teen’s Hair

As a parent, your life is governed by concern for your offspring. It doesn’t matter how old they are, how responsible they are or how successful they are, it’s impossible not to worry.

But of all the parental problems that exist, there is one particular issue that instills fear and panic into even the most relaxed types. It’s a terror-inducing epidemic which every parent will likely experience once – if they’re lucky.

If you’re a parent, then it’s highly likely that you already know what I am talking about. In fact, you can probably feel the goosebumps forming on your skin… Why? Because I am talking about head lice. Although, not just your average head lice.

In 2016, it was reported that a new breed of “super lice” were causing chaos across 25 different states. What makes these lice super, you ask? Well, it’s the fact that they are drug-resilient and immune to all traditional forms of treatment.

But it isn’t just children that are at risk from these super lice, because the pesky critters have also been found embedded in the hair of the elderly.

How did they get there? Well, lice can’t fly. Instead, they just crawl from one head to the other. So if you share a comb, hair accessories or hats with somebody, the chances are you’re highly susceptible to nits.

Now the question you really want to know the answer to – how do you get rid of them? Well, most families are turning to lice clinics to banish the unwanted visitors. Meanwhile, others are having to turn to medically prescribed options.

Whilst there are ways to treat the tyrants, doctors advise that prevention is the best cure. So the key is to stay clear of other people’s hair unless you want to play host to a hoard of creepy crawlies.

And whilst the year is 2018, and we should be happy to accommodate everybody and anybody, giving a home to super lice is one step too far! So keep your head down, quite literally, and you should be safe!
