This year marks 10 years since the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Little Madeleine was only three when she disappeared from her family’s apartment whilst on holiday in Praia De Luz, Portugal on May 3rd, 2007. Her parents were at a nearby tapas bar when Madeleine disappeared, and a police search was launched after she was not found. McCann would now be 13 and would look very different to the pictures used by the authorities. She does, however, have a blemish on her right eye which could make her identifiable.
There have been many theories regarding the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Gerry and Kate McCann, Madeleine’s parents, believe that their daughter was abducted. Other varying reports suggest an abduction by a paedophile, an accidental death during a bungled burglary, abduction by child traffickers, or that she wandered out of the apartment and died in a tragic accident could have led to her disappearance.
Investigative journalist Mark Williams-Thomas has discussed his theory of Madeleine’s disappearance on British TV show This Morning. Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, Mark Williams-Thomas believes that his theory about Madeleine’s disappearance is correct.
